Classification and Applications of Vacuum Capacitors

Apr 15, 2026 Leave a message

Vacuum capacitors fall into two main categories: Those with glass insulating envelopes, which are further subdivided into fixed glass vacuum capacitors (CKB) and variable glass vacuum capacitors (CKBB); and those with ceramic insulating envelopes, which are further classified into fixed ceramic vacuum capacitors (CKT), variable ceramic vacuum capacitors (CKTB), and water-cooled variable ceramic vacuum capacitors (CKTBS).

Applications

  • Broadcasting and Communication Equipment: Vacuum capacitors serve as key components-such as for tuning, coupling, filtering, neutralization, and DC blocking-in medium-wave, short-wave, and ultra-short-wave transmitters.
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment: Used in plasma deposition and etching systems.
  • High-Frequency Industrial Equipment: Employed in applications such as high-frequency dielectric heating and welding.
  • Medical Devices: Utilized in medical analyzers, therapeutic instruments, and similar equipment.
  • High-Energy Physics: Applied in high-energy particle accelerators and related systems.
  • Power Equipment: Used in dielectric loss testing equipment.
