Product Overview
A high capacity relay is a vacuum relay with a thick contact system and enlarged conductive path for heavy continuous current and high-current make/break duty. The contacts, conductors, and terminals form the main current path, while the vacuum chamber controls the arc when the circuit opens.

Core Advantages
50 A carry current with RF derating data
JPK-13/013 carries up to 50 A at DC/50 Hz and lists lower ratings as frequency increases. High-current RF and pulse circuits can therefore be matched to the actual frequency instead of applying the DC value across the full range.
Defined resistance limit for the closed path
Maximum contact resistance is 0.012 Ohm under the stated test condition. This value gives production inspection and equipment design a measurable limit for checking voltage drop during extended energized duty.
Two-pole transfer with a stated mechanical life
The DPDT contact transfers two current paths through one relay and is rated for 1,000,000 mechanical operations. Repeated paired-path applications can use this cycle rating for maintenance planning without treating it as an electrical-life claim.
Customization
Current-duty configuration
Continuous carry current, make/break current, peak or inrush current, load type, switching frequency, and duty cycle.
Electrical and control configuration
Working voltage, withstand voltage, contact form, coil voltage, and pickup and release requirements.
Mechanical current path
Terminal cross-section, conductor connection, housing dimensions, mounting interface, and modification from JPK-2-057, JPK-2-061, JPK-23-059, an approved drawing, or a sample.
Quality Control
Incoming inspection checks contact material, conductor dimensions, ceramic enclosures, coils, heavy-current terminals, and mounting parts. Before sealing, inspectors verify the reinforced current path, contact alignment, conductor fit, and the connection from the internal contact assembly to the external terminals.
Electrical testing covers contact resistance, insulation, withstand voltage, coil operation, and switching response for the confirmed model. Aging and final inspection verify the conductor and terminal configuration, enclosure, label, and batch test record before shipment.
Why Choose Us
Current path checked before sealing
Wanping verifies the conductor section, contact position, and terminal connection while the assembly can still be corrected, before vacuum furnace processing begins.
Maturation equipment for batch screening
Eight vacuum component maturation instruments are used for post-assembly processing and to identify unstable sealed assemblies before release.
Experience with heavy electrical equipment
Wanping electro-vacuum products are used in power, metallurgy, coal, railway machinery, communication, and radar equipment where the current path and insulation structure must work together.
FAQ
Q: What is the normal lead time?
A: Standard high capacity relay models normally take 20-40 days. A modified or newly developed version usually takes 40-60 days for drawing confirmation, sample production, vacuum processing, and verification.
Q: Which shipping methods are available?
A: Samples and small quantities can ship by air express. Production orders can go by air or sea, and DDP delivery can be arranged after the destination and customs requirements are confirmed.
Q: Can the carry-current rating be used as the switching-current rating?
A: No. Carry current applies after the contacts are fully closed. Switching current must account for circuit voltage, arc energy, load type, inrush, switching frequency, and the difference between making and breaking the load.
Q: What causes contact welding in a high-current relay?
A: Contact welding is commonly caused by switching above the make/break rating, uncontrolled inrush, excessive operating frequency, inadequate load suppression, or selecting the relay only by its carry-current rating.
