Product overview
A ceramic vacuum capacitor uses vacuum as the dielectric, with a ceramic-and-metal body forming the sealed insulating enclosure. The same construction is available in fixed and adjustable versions for RF transmission, high-frequency high-voltage equipment, industrial heating, medical RF systems and circuits used for tuning, filtering, coupling or DC isolation. It is specified when the design needs both vacuum insulation and a rigid ceramic housing.

Core advantages
Fixed and variable ceramic-vacuum configurations
The supplied models include fixed values of 750 and 2000 pF and a variable model that tunes from below 25 pF to 1000 pF. This allows the same ceramic-vacuum product family to cover preset circuit positions and adjustable matching or tuning positions.
Up to 14 kV working voltage and 160 A RF current
The listed CKT750/14/160 model provides 14 kV high-frequency peak working voltage and 160 A at 13.56 MHz. It is suited to RF circuits where the ceramic vacuum enclosure must carry elevated voltage and current together.
Different mounting forms for equipment integration
Representative bodies range from a 79 mm high fixed unit to a 225 mm long variable unit, with threaded or multi-hole mounting interfaces. This gives equipment designers distinct installation forms instead of treating one housing as universal.
Structure and materials
A high-strength ceramic cylinder and metal end parts form the vacuum enclosure. Concentric oxygen-free copper electrodes sit inside the body and connect to the external terminals through the metal components.
Fixed versions use stationary electrodes. Variable versions add a moving electrode group, a drive and a motion-sealing part. Ceramic dimensions, electrode layout and terminal position are set as one design because all three affect capacitance, insulation distance and equipment fit.
Custom options
Fixed or variable configuration
The product can be made with one fixed capacitance or an adjustable capacitance range. Rated voltage, RF current and operating frequency are matched to the internal electrode arrangement selected for that version.
Ceramic body and external interface
Ceramic size, metal end fittings, terminal layout and mounting structure can be changed for the target equipment. A drawing or physical sample is useful when a replacement unit must stay within an existing installation envelope.
Quality control
Ceramic-to-metal fit before vacuum processing
Ceramic bodies, metal fittings and electrode parts are checked for dimensional fit and surface condition before assembly. The sealing area and internal electrode position are confirmed before furnace processing permanently closes the structure.
Tests matched to the capacitor type
Fixed capacitors are tested for capacitance, insulation and voltage withstand. Variable versions also undergo adjustment-range and mechanical-operation checks. Before release, the model, terminals, mounting details and test record are compared with the order.
Manufacturing basis
Ceramic-to-metal vacuum processing
Wanping has manufactured electro-vacuum devices for more than 50 years and operates 12 vacuum furnaces for ceramic-to-metal sealed assemblies. The same production base is used for capacitor electrode systems and other high-voltage vacuum components.
Engineering review before sample production
Electrical performance, equipment compatibility and the internal structure are reviewed before sample production. This avoids approving a ceramic body that fits mechanically but does not match the electrode system needed for the electrical rating.
FAQ
Q: Can a ceramic vacuum capacitor be ordered from one piece?
A: MOQ depends on the model, and many ceramic vacuum capacitors can start from one piece. Different models or specifications can be combined after all order details are confirmed.
Q: Can a prototype be supplied before batch production?
A: Yes. A sample can be produced to the confirmed drawing or specification and tested before the approved configuration moves into batch production.
Q: How should fixed and variable ceramic vacuum capacitors be distinguished?
A: A fixed model has stationary electrodes and one nominal capacitance. A variable model contains a moving electrode assembly and is used when the installed circuit needs tuning or matching.
Q: How should the ceramic body be handled during storage and installation?
A: Store the capacitor in a dry place and protect the ceramic surface from impact. Do not lift it by the terminals. During installation, apply mounting force only through the specified mounting surfaces, not through the ceramic body.
